Take your Art to the Next Level - Mastering Two Point Perspective

If you haven’t read my blog on one-point perspective, you can check it out here.
Once you’ve gained an understanding on how to apply one-point perspective, you can move on to using two-point perspective. In my opinion, I think using this angle in your art creates a more interesting viewpoint than one-point perspective does.
Now we are using two vanishing points on the horizon line, which don’t necessarily need to be within the picture plane.
(An example of what 2 point perspective looks like, would be the corner view of a building.)
So… In 2-point perspective, the focal point of the scene is usually NOT located near the vanishing points, but rather following the rule of thirds composition.
It seems a bit more complicated; but again, if you can learn and practice the steps on how and when to apply this technique you’ll eventually be creating believable depth and accurate angles without even having to think about it too much!
Watch the video to learn how to apply the rules of two-point perspective.
