I painted this piece for my dad, inspired by his stay at the enchanting castle Auf Schönburg in Germany. He was so captivated by its old-world charm that it sparked the transformation of his own home—together, we re-imagined his bathroom with stone textures, aged finishes, wooden beams, and medieval-inspired details to echo the spirit of the castle. Ever since his visit, he’s dreamed of returning, and this summer that dream will finally come full circle. This painting is both a tribute to that memory and a celebration of the journey back.
