One thing I love about teaching artist retreats in Europe, is the unexpected things you get to do that you might not as a tourist. This 13th C Medieval house belongs to our drivers, Simon and Cathryn, who took us to his adorable home in a tiny village in SW France. Their home sits right on the square and they provided us with a wonderful picnic. We also shopped at their friend's perfume/art paper shop for some custom perfume and watercolor papers!
